Built for hosts
Print it for the welcome book, stick it on the fridge, prop it on the bedside table, or leave it on the entry table with your other guest information. It works just as well for a holiday apartment, a full Airbnb listing, or a small B&B — anywhere a guest currently has to ask for, or squint at, a Wi-Fi password.
How it works
The code encodes your network name, security type and password in a format iPhones and Android phones already understand. A guest opens their camera, scans, and their phone offers to join the network — no reading out a 16-character password at 11pm, no typos.
Your password stays private
This is a static QR code, generated entirely in your browser. Your network name and password are never uploaded to FreeQR's servers — there's nothing for us to store even if we wanted to. No account is needed, and the code works for as long as your Wi-Fi details stay the same.
Printing it for your rental
Print it at least 3 cm wide with strong contrast between the code and its background, and keep the quiet zone — the plain border around the code — intact. It's worth also printing your network name in plain text next to the code as a fallback for anyone who'd rather type it. You can place this alongside your existing welcome book or house-manual pages; FreeQR generates the Wi-Fi code itself, not a full digital guidebook.
Frequently asked questions
- Where should I actually put an Airbnb Wi-Fi QR code?
- Anywhere a guest looks first: the fridge, a bedside card, the entry table, or printed into your welcome book alongside check-in and house-rule information.
- Do I need a FreeQR account to make one?
- No — Wi-Fi QR codes are static and generated entirely in your browser, with no signup required.
- What happens when I change my Wi-Fi password between guests?
- Wi-Fi QR codes are always static, so a printed code encodes the password at the time you made it. If it changes, generate a fresh one — it takes seconds and is free every time.
