How it works

Already have a PDF hosted online? Paste its link above for a free QR code, static or dynamic. Want FreeQR to host the file for you instead? Sign in and upload it (up to 20 MB) — your dynamic QR code points to the hosted file, so scanning it opens the PDF straight away on any phone.

Because the QR is dynamic, you can replace the PDF or change the link whenever you like — this year's price list, the summer menu, the updated manual — without touching the printed code.

Perfect for

Restaurant and café menus, product spec sheets, event programs, real-estate brochures, instruction manuals, gym timetables and any document that changes more often than your printing budget would like.

Pricing

A PDF QR that links to a PDF you already host is free on every plan, Static or Dynamic — including the Free plan's first dynamic QR. Having FreeQR host the PDF for you (the upload option) needs the Starter plan (A$4.99/month) and above, regardless of whether it would be your first dynamic QR — the Free plan's one dynamic QR can be any link-based type, but not an uploaded file.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to upload my PDF, or can I just paste a link?
Either works, but they're priced differently: pasting a link to a PDF you already host is free on every plan. Uploading your own PDF for FreeQR to host needs the Starter plan or above — the Free plan doesn't include PDF uploads, even for your first dynamic QR.
What file types can I upload?
PDF for documents, plus JPEG, PNG and WebP images. Each file can be up to 20 MB, within your plan's storage quota.
Can I replace the PDF later without reprinting the QR?
Yes, with a Dynamic QR — upload the new file (or paste a new link) and the same printed code opens it. A Static QR's link is fixed once printed.
Can I see how many people opened my PDF?
Yes — every scan of a Dynamic QR is counted in your analytics, with countries, devices and scan-over-time charts.
